How to make Homemade Spaghetti Pasta

Simple & tasty, full of vegetables and sauce of your choice. This recipe will bring all things Italian to your kitchens – Zucchini, Broccoli, Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Carrots, basil, herbs, garlic & last but not the least cheese. This would leave you craving for more, make it a special evening dinner with this recipe. Healthy, vegetarian, especially for those who love change & Italian flavors.

Health Benefits of Spaghetti Pasta

Spaghetti Pasta is a dietary source of vitamins, minerals & fiber. Fiber helps in fighting chronic diseases - including obesity and type 2 diabetes and also promotes digestive health.

Step 1

Take big deep pan and boil water in it. Water should be deep enough to dip the Spaghetti Pasta sticks / noodles.

Step 2

Once the water is boiled, add the spaghetti pasta depending on the number of portions to be served. Add 2tablespoons olive oil. Keep cooking for 20 -30 minutes and check if cooked, it should not be raw in the center.

Step 3

Strain the pasta and mix little butter, otherwise pasta noodles will stick together. Keep the Pasta Noodles covered as they should be hot when Gravy is poured over the noodles.

Step 4

On the side, chop the vegetables to medium size chunks. In a pan, fry sliced onions in Virgin Olive oil and fry till transparent. Add chopped garlic, add chopped broccoli & carrots with Salt. Once broccoli & carrots are cooked then add Zucchini & Mushrooms.

Step 5

After this add the Italian Pasta Sauce (or one can add pureed tomatoes and cook). Keep this on flame till the vegetables are cooked and have soaked the sauce flavor.

Step 6

Now, add cherry tomatoes and fresh Basil leaves. One can add Italian Herb seasoning like Oregano or mixed herbs.

Step 7

Cover the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes. After this, pour Vegetables with sauce over the Pasta Noodles and garnish with grated cheese or home-made cheese.

Hint : Garnish with Fresh Basil leaves or fresh pepper.

Make sure to keep the Pasta noodles hot if they are cooked before the vegetables and sauce.

Olive Oil
Italian Tomato sauce or any preferred brand of Italian Pasta Sauce
Cherry Tomatoes: 10-15
Garlic: 5-7 garlic cloves, chopped finely
Long sliced onion: 1 – 2 onions
Chopped Vegetables: Broccoli, Mushrooms, Carrots, Zucchini
Fresh Basil Leaves
Italian Herbs Seasoning
Cheese - I prefer to make fresh cheese with Toned Milk. Recipe to make fresh cheese.
Spices - Salt & Red Chili Flakes according to taste
