5 Minute Potato & Onion Fritters – No fret Aloo Pyaz Pakoda Recipe

As the monsoon season is about to end and festive season begins so does the rush of guests. Here’s a No fret 5minute snack / Fritter/ Pakoda Recipe. Well, we enjoy these anytime of the day. On top you can serve them with our Lemon Soda Shikanji & Green Pudina Chutney.

Step 1

Mix water, besan, garam masala, salt & red chili powder. Stir this until batter looks like for pancakes. Batter should neither be too runny not too thick.

Step 2

Now add long diced onions & round thin sliced potatoes. Mix the onion & potatoes well until no extra batter is left. If extra batter is still showing - add ½ an onion or potato.

Step 3

Add Kasuri Methi & Green Chilies to the batter & mix well.

Step 4

Now heat your choice of Oil for deep frying in a Pan and after the oil is heated properly, add a dollop (a big spoon) of batter mix in the heated oil and fry until golden brown.

Step 5

Serve hot with Sauce of your choice.

Hint: Water & Besan quantity might vary until required batter consistency is achieved.
Hint: One can add more vegetables of choice as per taste like thin sliced cauliflower, spinach etc.

Ingredients Required for making Aloo Pyaz Pakora Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
Onion: 2 Medium Sized Onions, Long diced.
Potato: 2 Medium Size, round thin sliced with or without peel.
Kasuri methi: 1 Tablespoon
Besan / Gram Powder: 1 & Half cup
Water: ¾ th Cup water to mix besan
Red chili powder: To taste
Salt: To taste
Green Chilly: Long sliced 2-3
Garam Masala: 1 Pinch
Refined/ Mustard oil for deep frying.
